South africa ready to play day night versus Australia

According to reports in Herald Sun(June 3),South african players have finally agreed to play two day night tests on their upcoming Australia tour. This comes as relief for fans as earlier south african players had reservation to play in day night test due to ongoing concerns over visibility of the pink ball in twilight hours.

An official confirmation of test match is yet to come but an official in CA was quoted saying"We remain optimistic that the Adelaide Test match will be played as a day-night match,"After the success of last summer's Adelaide Test, the anticipation in that market is huge."

James Sutherland, CA chief executive was always optimistic about event and earlier had said "I had some separate conversations with colleagues from Cricket South Africa and the South African Players' Association and I maintain my position that I continue to be optimistic about the Adelaide Test match being played as a day/night Test match"

CA was really pushing for this event as last year's day night test had generated record breaking revenues for CA

This means that Adelaide Oval will stage a day-night Test in November (against South Africa) before another pink-ball match is played at the Gabba to open the three-Test series between Australia and Pakistan in December.
