KSCA:M Chinnaswamy stadium to have better drainage system

Good news for cricket fans M Chinnaswamy stadium is going to get state of art subsurface aeration and vacuum-powered drainage system
.The Karnataka State Cricket Association  has decided to install subsurface aeration and vacuum-powered drainage system at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore. The system will be imported from the Unites States of America.
The system starts working within minutes of rain and prevents water logging in any part of the field. It is believed that after the system is installed, water will be removed 36 times faster than drainage by gravity. It also helps the groundsmen create a much better playing field by preventing turf diseases, algae, excessive thatch and black layer.
Brijesh Patel, the KSCA president, on Thursday said "Once the rain stops, it will be inexcusable to delay or cancel a game due to a wet outfield. With this high-tech solution from SubAir, faster resumption of the game is now possible,"
SubAir, as it's known, has been used in National Football League and in the football World Cup in 2014. It will also be used in the upcoming football World Cup in 2018.
