ICC WT20: India lost by 2 runs in women's match

Well the winds of change have started blowing which is evident by the fact that biggest crowds gathered at kotla to witness Indian and Pakistan Women play.

Fans at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi began trickling in an hour prior to the scheduled time of play. It was a welcome sight - not just from the teams' point of view, but also in the larger scheme of things for women's cricket.
"It was quite exciting to be at the centre," said Indian captain Mithali Raj, on Saturday after the two-run loss to Pakistan by the Duckworth-Lewis method in their Group B clash in the ICC World Twenty20 2016. "The stadium was not as packed as what it would be for men's matches but it was definitely one of the best crowds I have played in front of. After every wicket we earned, so many people cheering us was exceptional and gave a good feeling."
Sana Mir, the Pakistan captain said It is one of the biggest crowd I have played in front of," Mir beamed. "There was one in Doha, Qatar, a couple of years ago in a tri-nation series, but it was a home crowd. This was a wonderful crowd, and we enjoyed playing in front of them. At the end it was getting close, but the crowd supported good cricket. As much nerve we felt, there was a lot of excitement to do well in front of the crowd. Good to see a lot of faces from Pakistan."

Playing to their strengths, the Pakistan captain Mir decided to bowl after winning the toss. Opening the innings with the crafty Anam Amin was a move that paid off as she, along with Asmavia Iqbal, who bowled three straight over’s respectively to stifle India's batsmen, giving away only seven runs in the powerplay, while Pakistan raced away to 39 for 1 after their first six. "All Indians are good on the offside, so we tried to make it difficult for them to score there. We planned to bowl wicket to wicket. The way Amam and Asamavia bowled in the power play, they stuck to the plan and it worked for us," said Mir.
A loss here has put India in a situation with their next two clashes being must-win ones. With England to face off against next in Dharamsala on Tuesday (March 22), India have just two days to regroup, while Pakistan, riding on a wave of momentum take on Bangladesh on March 24 in Delhi.
